KTP Series – Wire Mesh Belt Shot Blasting Machine

Wire mesh belt shot blasters are designed to process medium-to-large die-castingpressure castingsforgingsheat-treated partsautomotive componentsferrous and non-ferrous castingswelded constructions, and other parts varying in shapes in continuous flow production.

They can be used to remove remains of foundry sand and cores, casting sand, rust, old paint, visible signs of welding and noble cutting, oxidized layer caused by thermal treatment, deburring, micro handling, increasing surface solidity, reducing impact of surface micro cuts, and much more.

KTP Series shot blasters are extremely versatile and adaptable to different types of parts and applications. The number of blast wheels, horsepower, and location of blast wheels, the machine’s size, the length and width of the wire mesh conveyor, and the frequency regulation of blast wheels are all determined as per the customer’s specifications and needs. Workload capacity of standard systems ranges from 2 to 220 lb, or more depending on the customers’ requirements.

How it Works

Parts are loaded on a wire mesh conveyor either manually or by the mean of a material handling robot.

As they travel through the blasting chamber, parts are exposed to the abrasive propelled by the ir sm@rt multi-option blast wheels ranging from 5.5 to 30 kW, providing efficient shot blasting and quick results.

Abrasive media reclaiming system

After use, residual abrasive media falls down the bottom of the blasting chamber, where it is conveyed by screw conveyors and a bucket elevator to an automatic media cleaner.

The abrasive reclaimer provides continuous handling and recycling of abrasive media based on particle size in order to maintain optimal and consistent quality blasting.

For heavily regulated applications, a magnetic and/or vibratory particle separator can be added to precisely sort the abrasive shots based on their size and density.

Standard Features

All shot blasters are equipped with PLC, display, timer, automatic or manual mode, automatic start-up of the blast wheels, working-hours counter, and other basic features.

Blast wheels and blasting chamber inner walls are protected by wear-resistant shields made from manganese steel liners for extremely long service life.

The blasting chamber has rubber or Lexan curtains which ensures abrasive media is kept inside. Rotating brush and high-pressure blow nozzles clean parts before they exit the blasting chamber.

Optional Features

Blast wheels can be equipped with a frequency drive and ir sm@rt valve to precisely control the flow of media for optimal results.
